Résumé: This literature review addresses the issue of young children's interpersonal relationships. More specifically, we show how researchers using the social network model go beyond the dyad, proposed by attachment theory, to develop a global perspective that takes into account all the partners of the child, and demonstrates the dynamics and the complexity of children sociability. In conclusion, we present some empirical evidence which suggests the practical interest of such a conception of the child's social world, both in its personal and social development.
