Résumé: The goal of this interactive symposium is to collectively share and compare the way we do research in STEM education so it may further develop. Each presenter will be given ten minutes to illustrate how cultural-historical activity and sociocultural theories influence their work. These examples will be used as a background for a more general discussion that should last one hour about whether there are significant differences with other approaches to STEM education. The ultimate interest is to see if we can articulate and strengthen our research perspectives.
