Résumé: Identified variables related to parents' satisfaction with their children's education and determined if this parental satisfaction is related to the students' academic and adaptive behavior progress. A questionnaire was submitted to the parents of 33 students (mean age 9 yrs 9 mo) with moderate intellectual disabilities integrated into regular schools, either in special or regular classes. Academic performance and adaptive behavior were evaluated twice at a 2-yr interval. Results identified 3 predictive variables of parents' satisfaction: satisfying communication with school staff and parents' perception of improvement in writing and math. Actual progress in reading, writing, and math were not correlated with parents' satisfaction. Progress in 2 adaptive behaviors was associated with parents' satisfaction: community self-sufficiency and personal–social responsibility.
